Activity of each Enzyme

Amylase:  is the digestive enzyme, which are natural substances needed by the body to help break down and digest food. Amylase main function is to hydrolyse the glyosidic bonds in starch molecules, converting complex carbohydrates to simple sugars.

PROTEASE: helps break down protein in food into amino acids, which the body can then use for energy, but where proteases stand apart is the fact that they also play a number of other roles in essential processes, such as:

  • Blood clotting
  • Cell division
  • Recycling of proteins
  • Immune support

GLUCOAMYLASE: Glucoamylase is an enzyme that digests partially processed starch (carbohydrates) in vegetables, potatoes, wheat, rice, and corn in order to release glucose that the body can use for energy.

Amylase breaks down starch into glucose, whereas glucoamylase dissolves the bonds at the end of carbohydrate chains to release glucose that is already present.

ALPHA GALACTOSIDASE: Alpha galactosidase supplementation can improve gastrointestinal health through proper digestion of carbohydrate-rich foods and amplify the body’s natural enzymatic activity. This equates to some very beneficial regulation of flatulence after consuming gassy foods – and alpha galactosidase conquers them all

Essentially, alpha galactosidase disrupts this fermentation process by breaking down the glycolipids and glycoproteins in foods that are hard to digest, keeping your digestive tract happily functioning without excess gas.

LACTASE: Lactase is an enzyme that breaks down a dairy-based sugar called lactose into the simple sugars galactose and glucose.

The symptoms of lactose intolerance are:

  • Diarrhea
  • Bloating
  • Gas

CELLULASE: Cellulase has an amazing ability to break down cellulose, a complex carbohydrate found in plant fibers. In fact, this carb-consuming enzyme can actually break down cellulose into glucose to help sustain energy and maintain optimal blood sugar levels.

Cellulase also facilitates the elimination of toxins – including free radicals, toxic chemicals, and microorganisms – to strengthen cell membranes and promote health.

LIPASE: Lipase is an enzyme that breaks down lipids (fats) and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K.

Benefit of lipase is that it facilitates the excretion of unhealthy fats, such as saturated and trans-fat, while assisting healthy fats, like monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, to move efficiently throughout the body.

Lipase improves the digestion of fats by ensuring that they are properly broken down into smaller molecules that can either be used for energy, stored as healthy fats, or excreted from the body. This also helps to boost HDL, which assists in maintaining healthy cholesterol levels.

Removing unhealthy fats and LDL from the body is particularly beneficial, as these are known causes of health problems.

HEMICELLULASE: Hemicellulase is an enzyme that breaks down a specific form of cellulose called hemicellulose, which is a major component of plant cell walls. There are many types of hemicelluloses – pentosans, xylans, galactans, mannans, and glucans – and hemicellulase targets them all, offering an array of health benefits.

Hemicellulase required to break down fiber-rich (i.e., hemicellulose-rich) foods is actually not produced by the human body. Instead, microorganisms in the intestinal tract produce the enzyme to facilitate the digestion of plant-based fibers.

Consequently, if hemicellulase levels become too low, due to an imbalanced gut, your body’s digestive processes may slow down, hindering the proper absorption of nutrients.

But adding hemicellulase to your supplement regimen can assist with the proper digestion of plant-based fiber from all those nutritious, fiber-rich foods that complete a healthy diet.

DIASTASE:  Enzyme helps break down carbohydrates and turn them into sugar, which makes them easier to digest.

Diastase helps to digest the starch and breaks it down into small soluble sugar molecules called glucose. It significantly accelerates the rate of digestion without being used in the reaction.

INVERTASE: Invertase is an enzyme that breaks sucrose into its component parts, glucose and fructose, which can be easily digested. It is a carbohydrate digesting enzyme.

Invertase is one of the essential enzymes that nature uses to help us digest sugars.

Invertase is essential not only for metabolism but also help in osmoregulation, development and defence system. In humans, the enzyme acts as an immune booster, as an antioxidant, an antiseptic and helpful for bone cancer or stomach cancer patients in some cases.
